At the heart of this wine, the history and passion of winemakers merge into a chalice of pure beauty, an invitation to explore the secrets Upper Salento.

T he Truddu Negroamaro Rosso is a work of pure authenticity, a testament to the great winemaking tradition of Alto Salento, where traditional agronomic practices blend with the passion and dedication of its creators. The harvesting of the grapes, which takes place in the second decade of September, is a moment of great importance, when only perfectly ripe bunches are carefully selected in the field and delicately picked into 15 kg crates.

In the winery, the grapes undergo a vinification process that aims to best preserve their aromatic integrity. After being lightly crushed, the grapes ferment and macerate at a controlled temperature of 20 °C for about 18 days, allowing a slow and delicate extraction of the flavors and aromas intrinsic to Negroamaro grapes.

This is followed by a long period of aging in steel and French oak tonneaux for about 12 months, a crucial time when the wine develops its complexity and unique structure. The result is a purplish wine that offers interesting blueberry and black cherry notes on the nose, wrapped in a delicate smoky and spicy veil, with a pleasant aftertaste of dried fruit.

The taste is persistent, with an elegant freshness and minerality that further enhance its complexity. Truddu Negroamaro Rosso is the perfect companion for robust dishes such as grilled meats and aged cheeses, where its structure and intensity can fully express themselves.

With a serving temperature between 16 and 18°C, this wine opens slowly in the glass, gradually revealing all its beauty and complexity, inviting the taster on a sensory journey through the sun-kissed hills of Alto Salento, a land rich in history, passion and tradition.
