In the goblet of this wine, the secrets of the young vines and of the golden sunsets, an invitation to celebrate the life and beauty of the present moment.
T he Truddu Susumaniello Rosato is an ode to the freshness and youthfulness of the vines, a tribute to the lightness and vibrancy of summer days. The grapes, from very young vines, are harvested during the cool night to maximize the freshness and aromaticity of this unique wine.
Once in the winery, the grapes undergo a soft pressing and the temperature is lowered to 8°C to clarify the must, preserving the delicate aromas and flavors of the Susumaniello grapes as much as possible. Fermentation begins the following day, a process that takes place calmly and precisely, lasting about 15 days and allowing the wine to develop its complexity and unique structure.
This is followed by a short rest on the lees for 6 months, with repeated Battonage, a delicate gesture that limits the use of sulfites and gives the wine an extraordinary creaminess and roundness. The result is a coral pink wine with a floral and fruity bouquet of violets, currants and pink grapefruit that enchants the senses and awakens the soul.
The taste is fresh and enveloping, with a typical sapidity and minerality linked to the terroir, giving the wine a balanced structure and inimitable length. Truddu Susumaniello Rosato is the perfect companion for summer aperitifs and light dishes, where its freshness and liveliness can fully shine.
With a serving temperature of 8 to 10°C, this wine gradually opens in the glass, revealing layers of aromas and nuances that invite the taster on a sensory journey through the rolling hills of Alto Salento, a land rich in joy and beauty.
